Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
The short version: AfMoMa has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your clips, photos and messages stay on your iPhone. We don’t collect analytics, show ads, or sell or share your data.
This policy explains how the AfMoMa app (“the app”), made by App Speedway (“we”), handles information. If you have a question, email contact@appspeedway.com.
What stays on your device
- Your clips and movies: songs you chose, scenes, messages, styles and settings are stored only on your iPhone.
- Photos: the app only sees photos you choose in the photo picker, share to it from another app, or pick in Google Photos. It keeps a resized copy inside the app. Photos are never uploaded by us.
- Photo analysis: “Make It For Me” uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to judge sharpness, spot duplicates, find faces and subjects, and read when and where each photo was taken. This runs entirely on your iPhone. Results are stored with the clip and never leave the device.
- Exported videos are saved to your photo library only when you choose to, using add-only access.
Apple services the app uses
- Apple Music (MusicKit): to search, browse and play songs while you edit. Your Apple Music subscription and listening are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Exported videos never contain Apple Music audio.
- Song recognition (ShazamKit), in Full Show Room mode only: with your permission the microphone is used to recognise the song playing. Apple’s Shazam service receives an audio signature, not a recording. Audio is never recorded or stored by the app.
- Maps (MapKit): when you search for a place for a travel globe, or when the app names the place a photo was taken, the search text or coordinates are sent to Apple Maps to get a place name.
- In-app purchase: the Full Version is bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we only learn whether the purchase is active on your device.
Google Photos
If you choose to add photos from Google Photos, the app asks you to sign in with Google and grant read-only access to the photos you pick (photospicker.mediaitems.readonly). Google shows you its own picker. The app can only see the items you select there, not the rest of your library.
- The selected photos are downloaded to your iPhone and added to your clip. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
- The Google sign-in is stored securely in your iPhone’s Keychain. Signing out in the app revokes it, or you can remove access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- AfMoMa’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don’t use Google user data for advertising, don’t sell it, don’t transfer it to others, and no person at App Speedway reads it.
Photos shared from other apps
When you share photos to AfMoMa from another app, they’re copied into a private folder that only the app can read, until you add them to a clip or discard them.
Analytics, tracking and ads
None. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code. If you’ve allowed it in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us.
Children
The app isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Delete a clip in the app (long-press it on the home screen) to remove its photos and messages, or delete the app to remove everything. Because nothing is stored on our side, there’s nothing more to delete.
Changes
If this policy changes we’ll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
